Cellist Yari Bond has performed throughout the United States, Europe and Japan as soloist, chamber and orchestral musician. She received her training at the Juilliard School as a student of Leonard Rose and Channing Robbins. As a founding member and artist director of the Carnegie Chamber Players and the Thurnauer Chamber Music Society she implemented Chamber Music America residency programs in Vermont and New Jersey as well as numerous educational programs. Ms Bond has performed on WNPR Performance Today, WNYC and Vermont Public Radio. A champion of contemporary music she has premiered and recorded the music of many composers and can be heard on the the CRI, Opus One, Naxos, Classic Masters and CBS Masterworks labels. She has peformed at Caramoor, Yale at Norfolk, Aspen, Bach Aria, New England Bach, Yellow Barn Music Festivals and the Basically Bach Festival in Anchorage, Alaska. Ms. Bond teaches cello and chamber music at Columbia University and at The Special Music School of America located at the Kaufman Music Center. Known for her ability to support and nurture young musicians, she is the artistic director of the series Concerts Con Brio, Celebrating Young Artists in New York City.
