 Come join us in the Garden Room at Faculty House, where Students and Music Associates from Columbia University's Music Performance Program will be showcased in an afternoon recital series.

 Biography

Aimee Toner is a sophomore at Barnard College majoring in Ethnomusicology and taking lessons with Professor Linda Chesis through the Manhattan School of Music Lesson Exchange. She participates and performs in Columbia University's Orchestra, Jazz program and Pops Orchestra. She will be making her solo debut playing "Poem" by Charles T. Griffes with the Columbia University Orchestra on April 22nd and April 24th this spring. She is also the principal flutist of the New York Youth Symphony for the 2017/18 Season. Aimee is originally from Reston, Virginia, where she studied with Jennifer Lapple and Wendy Lane, performed in the American Youth Orchestra, and taught a private flute studio of seven students.

 Mid-Day Music @ Columbia offers live music to a general audience, following the tradition established by Aaron Warner and Isidor Isaac Rabi, great lovers of music whose memories live on at Faculty House.
