BIOGRAPHY

Brotok is a clarinet trio formed by Nikki Pet (clarinet), Lara Lewison (violin), and Rebecca Wan (piano) in the summer of 2017. Since their inception, Brotok has been working on Bartok’s Contrasts and Stravinsky’s L’histoire du Soldat under the guidance of Allen Blustine, and are excited to present these two pieces in Brotok Plays Bartok! Nikki Pet has been playing clarinet for eleven years and currently studies with Alan Kay through the Columbia-Juilliard Exchange Program. She is a sophomore majoring in Computer Science and concentrating in Mathematics in Columbia College. Lara Lewison has been playing the violin for 18 years and currently studies with Maja Cerar. She is a sophomore and an English Major with a Music Concentration at Columbia College. Rebecca Wan has been playing piano for 15 years and currently studies with Dmitri Alexeev. She is majoring in music and concentrating in business or art history, and is a sophomore in Columbia College.

Mid-Day Music @ Columbia offers live music to a general audience, following the tradition established by Aaron Warner and Isidor Isaac Rabi, great lovers of music whose memories live on at Faculty House.
