A Note from the Director

Welcome to the Music Performance Program (MPP)

The MPP is dedicated to students with strong musical backgrounds, who wish to cultivate their talents and pursue their passion for music on campus, in addition to their diverse academic majors. Participation in the MPP allows our students to find balance between the rigor of their academic requirements, and their artistic expression. We provide our students with opportunities to learn from world-class musicians, and to perform at iconic New York City venues such as Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, and Symphony Space. Members of the MPP enrich Columbia’s community through their musical collaborations, bringing with them the spirit of camaraderie and inclusion.
