David Newtown (CC '18, CJS '23) is the Administrative Assistant for the Department of Music. He is an avid cellist and singer and gigs around the city whenever he can. He has recently performed English madrigals with Columbia University's Collegium Musicum, Ravel's Piano Trio with Nelson Ojeda Valdés and Kelsey Philbrick, and a re-imagining of Couperin's "Leçons de ténèbres." Upcoming performances in 2026 include Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time.
