Biography
Dongwon Lee has been playing the piano since the age of seven. A 2012 Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist, he has won numerous prizes at various piano competitions, including the 28th International Smetana Piano Competition and the 5th Eastman International Piano Competition, to name a few. Dongwon has also worked with prominent musicians such as Leon Fleisher, Richard Goode, and Christopher Elton. Currently, he studies with Hung-Kuan Chen and Tema Blackstone through the Columbia-Juilliard Exchange Program and is majoring in Psychology. Aside from music, he conducts research on glaucoma using advanced retinal imaging techniques.
