ANNOUNCEMENT: BalletNext, a New York City-based ballet company led by Artistic Director and former principal ballerina of ABT (American Ballet Theatre), Michele Wiles, is looking for a cellist to perform this season at New York Live Arts! The show is from February 19th to 23rd at 7:30pm and an additional matinee show on the last day. They will be performing Vivaldi’s La Folia for 2 violins, cello and piano. It is a short piece (7 minutes), and it is the last piece before the intermission (you are free to leave during intermission). There will be 2 rehearsals with just the musicians, and 2 rehearsals with the dancers before the show.
Columbia alum Angela Kim and Omar Abboud will be playing, joined by another violinist doing her DMA at Stony Brook.
The musicians will be on stage with the dancers, and the company expects major press to write reviews on the show.
