Casting ‘Reverb’, a short film as a part of Columbia University Film MFA program.
A Story about young pianist losing her(his) hearing and must learn the way of listening through body to become a musician.
CASTING CALL FOR ACTORS
Annie (8-16) - lead
Annie’s dream is to become a great pianist. However, she(he) is slowly losing her hearing.
She(he) is frustrated and it seems like her(his) dream is broken. However, she(he) feels that there is something invisible world lying under the surface.
Finally, Annie learns the way of listening sounds through her(his) body. Furthermore, Annie can understand the true meaning of love through her course of journey.

Director’s vision
Silence is probably one of the loudest and heaviest sound that we will ever likely to experience. If we are covered by silence, we may try to understand it.
However, we still not enough to have the sensitivity to hear what’s really going on around us. It’s the story of journey trying to find the sound way way down the surface.
About the Director
Minkyu Kang studied Film and TV Production in University of Southern California (undergraduate) and worked five years at Korean film and TV industry as a director (mostly), producer, and editor. He is studying Directing/Screenwriting at Columbia University (MFA) now.
